We have been taking care of pets in Makawao since 1973! Our Clinic has recently been remodeled in 1997 and continues to offer new diagnostics, medical treatments and surgical procedures for your pets. Doctors and staff attend annual continuing education sessions and conferences to keep up to date with the ever changing world of veterinary medicine. Our first stop is the friendly and spacious reception area. It is clean and "environmentally
friendly". This area is equipped with a scale to weigh in your pets as
well as various pet health products. A bulletin
board is available to place notices of upcoming pet events,
"for sale" and "lost and found".
Over the counter
medications, flea and heartworm medications are available at the reception area.
A "watering hole" with coffee and water is just waiting for you.

PIC Coming! We have four exam rooms along with a complete pharmacy to dispense prescription drugs necessary to help you pet on the road to recovery. We also have the capability of acquiring other "human" drugs to dispense when necessary. Be assured that vaccines are stored and administered properly to your pet.
Our pharmacy is fully stocked with a variety of
medications needed to treat ailments and diseases we regularly encounter. We
also make full use of the local human pharmacies on some medication not easily
obtained through the veterinary suppliers. We also have our own online pharmacy,
VetCentric, that is an ethical (fully guaranteed products that they sell)
pharmacy and very competitive with the other online pharmacies. Call us at

We have recently added a fully equipped digital radiography service. Digital
radiology is extremely specialized to veterinary medicine by allowing extremely
detailed computerized images. This diagnostic capability will provide the
best diagnostic capability for our patients and their owners peace of mind.

We are extremely proud of our ultrasound diagnostic capability.
Ultrasonography is yet another means of non-invasive diagnosis (non-surgical)
and most times this painless procedure is performed without sedation or anesthesia to

Pics Coming! Next, we see the surgery suites. Three separate surgery areas are
available to perform a variety of elective to emergency procedures. Our
anesthesia machines utilize isoflurane anesthesia, one the safest gas anesthetics
available today. Our doctors and technicians have available state
of the art dental equipment, liquid nitrogen (Cryo) surgery and electrosurgical equipment as well as routine surgical
instrumentation.
Respiratory and EKG monitors are standard for every
general anesthetic procedure. Pain management medication is a standard part of any
surgical or dental procedure - our patients matter!
This area is our in-house laboratory. This hospital has
invested a large amount in equipment so that we can better serve
you. We can do in-house CBC's, blood chemistries, heartworm tests,
and fecals for the fastest results. When we need more than our facilities can
give us, we send a variety of laboratory samples to our quality outside labs -
blood samples usually 48 hour results and histopathology (tissue) in 5-7 day
results.

Our hospital provides separate wards and runs for your dogs and
cats when they are in our hospital for surgery or illness.
The cats have a
quieter atmosphere and don't need to recover while next to a barking dog - the
dogs don't feel the need to chase the "neighbor". Here, we
provide all levels of emergency and critical care for pets.
